The Building Work to Convert Trinity into Unity

The work started in October 2003 and caused a lot of mud everywhere, but the skyline of the area between the Old Trinity High and the Old Girls Grammar School has slowly been transformed.

The Building Works - The View from the Tower      23 Jan 2004

These two pictures were taken from the top of the tower on 23rd January 2004.  The picture above shows what was once the playground, and where a large steel frame is going up.  The photo below looks straight up from the tower towards the old Girls Grammar School.  All of the land between the two is being used by the new complex.

The ground works in front of the windows of the school hall are now completed and the huge hole filled in.

In front of the main entrance is a large mud field

Progress on the school construction is now quite rapid, with lots of people on site, but it seems way behind being ready for September.  Time will tell !
Demolition on the main entrance and reception has begun.
The ground works in front of the windows of the school hall is now covered in weeds. The new teaching block is taking shape from the outside, but it is difficult to see from outside the fence, what progress has been made on the inside.
