“ACHIEVEMENTS” THROUGH THE EYES OF CHILDREN

 

Every year during the Trinity Years a "Record of Achievements" was produced for every pupil, which included several parts written by the pupils themselves on their qualities, activities and achievements.  Here is a selection of some of the more "interesting" ones that have been carefully preserved through the years.

My Achievements

  • I have been absent from school a few times and am sometimes late, so from this you can see I am quite reliable.
  • Since joining Trinity I have made quite a few friends and have become very common around the school.
  • I have been an able reader and speller since before I started school but this doesn't help me now as others have caught up and overtaken me.
  • My favourite part of life at Trinity is the wonderful experiences the teachers have arranged for me.
  • I am not prone to wild speculation unless the occasion calls for it.
  • I enjoy working on my own or with a grope.
  • I make friends easily and have a good sense of human.
  • I have enjoyed being a pupil at this school - but furthermore I don't like it much.
  • I am not a member of anything in school because I cannot get in that way.
  • I went to the choir; I played the flute and a gymnastic club.
  • English is an essential subject, as you have to be able to read and right.
  • I have been off school for a few days in the years but have been coming to school every other day.
  • I have nearly been at Trinity School for three years.
  • I would say that my strengths are that I have not got more successful in most of my lessons.
  • The most important aspect of my education at Trinity is the fact you actually learn as you learn.
  • I have achieved sentimental things to do with knowledge and wisdom but I haven't achieved a certificate.
  • I have enjoyed Trinity since I came here because of the welcomely atmosphere.
  • My personal qualities have helped me but I don’t think I could discuss what they are.
  • At Trinity I enjoy being able to intact with older people.
  • I am part of my school football.
  • The enjoyment is at school and at home because it is enjoying.
  • At school I enjoy using the malty gim.
  • Well, I like the tripes and the work they have given me.
  • I am phiculy strong.
  • My attendance is not very good because I am always going to the doctors or hospital for ere cheques.
  • My standard of uniform is good because I never come with anything.
  • I think my best work achievement is that I don’t really have one.
  • I was in the east but after my test I was in the west.
  • In English I have learnt a different language - William Shakespeare.
  • I tend not to talk or write about my personal qualities as it gives me a big head.
 
 
  • I get on well with some people easier than some people because some people don’t like the way some people are.
  • I transformed a member of the group into a successful person using bin bags, felt tip pens and sellotape.
  • I contributed money to wear my own clothes.
  • I enjoy sports but could not see me as a physical person in the future.
  • I like conversating to people.
  • I always attempt to arrive on time and to come on time and it works.
  • My GCSEs have been English, Geography and Maths. I have been very pleased with them. I seem to contract more when I am on my own.
  • If anything bad happens I never bury myself in the ground.
  • I would say the school has shown me how to be well-manured.
  • I have also been aboard with the school.
  • I enjoy geography because the teacher explains the work we get. If we are not in school she does the work for us, and I can always understand what she is going on about.
  • I think my good qualities include and I am polite and I have good manors.
  • I believe that a friend in need is a good friend. Since I have joined Trinity I have seen few people who fit into the above proverb.
  • My personal qualities are – I am responsible, good at listening to other people’s point of view, honest, organised and punchable.
  • I consider the most important aspect of my education to be my knologle.
  • I love art and being a bubble girl.
  • I am interested in Drama which helped me in Drama.
  • My characterism is very strange.

  • I consider myself to be punctual because I have never worn any clothing out of the school rules.
  • Another thing I enjoyed most about Trinity is food technology because it is my favourite area of food technology.
  • The personal qualities that I possess are a short temper, amazing strength for my age, and an excellent drawer.
  • I did the grease play and I did the chello for two mounts.
  • When I came here I felt like I really wanted to get on with my work, but unfortunately, I gradually grew bored.
  • I think my coursework I revised for my mock was done successfully because I put over 100 words on a piece of paper and only 65 max was required.
  • I have completed more or less of my homework in my opinion. I might have missed the odd piece while being away or forget to do it, but I think I’ve done more or less.
  • My attendance is a little poor and my punctually is good because I have been late a couple of times.
  • My favourite lesion is Art.

Out of School

  • Every weekday I go down the YMCA with my friends. This proves I am reliable.
  • I used my initiative when two boys were fighting. I broke them up.
  • I am also interested in Northampton Mediaeval Society. I think this has brought me some self-discipline as I find it easier to communicate with older people.
  • I am joined to the St. James football team.
  • I am a 2* in Army Cadets and I am soon to be pow moted.

Work Experience

  • I really got on with all the people there - except the foreman.
  • When I went on work experience they broke me in well.
  • One job I had to do only took me ten minutes to learn and it had taken the secretary one year to learn.
  • While I was there I learned how to issue policies and put letters in envelopes.
  • While I was there I interviewed a murderer.
  • My two weeks there were taken up by making false teeth and removable braces.
  • I learnt how to get on with children and how to respect what teachers have to put up with.
  • My community placement was to go to Parklands School but I never got a reply so I never went.
  • My work experience was a great experience for me because now I know I don't want to go into photography.
  • I liked selling the goods. I sold a pair of Oakley's sun glasses for £99.99 and the man had only come in for a pair of shorts.
  • I went on work experience to British Telecom and learned to do many things with phones.
  • During my work experience at a lower school, when the children hadn't done good work I had to pat them on the head and say "well done" instead of calling them an idiot.
  • I served a few customers with oversight.
  • I found the people nice and helpful and they helped me when I needed help and I found the work interesting and helpful. I also found friendships very helpful when I needed help.
  • For my work experience I chose to go to Frontier Camp Lodge which would have involved me in teaching and participating in different sport and leisure activities. Unfortunately I was let down and had to go to Primark.
  • I went to Parklands Middle School for a three day experience.
  • I went to the Nationwide Building Society and helped to balance a counter.
  • On my work experience they never let me do what I was meant to, they never even gave me a chance to sit down.
  • I was taught how to change a nappy and what to look out for.
  • There were times when I didn't know or understand what to do but plucked up the courage to ask, in which often the case I was praised for asking and not sitting around like a dumb animal.

  • I went to Hammicks Book Shop in Peacock Place. I enjoyed the placement immensely and learnt that I would not like to become a PE teacher.
  • I had to wash and observe the manageress's hair.
  • The best part about my work experience was the part when I went in the hall to do keep fit with the children. The worst part was when I had to clear them up.
  • My achievement was to complete the two weeks without a nervous breakdown or severe boredom.
  • The thing I most enjoyed about work experience was having my dinner and a cup of coffee and also having a biscuit.
  • For my work experience I went to Kingsthorpe Grove Lower School and all of the teachers were friendly but some of the pupils there were right little hooligans.
  • My boss was Mike Walker but now he is Steve.
  • One of my personal qualities is talking so I had the advantage of answering the 'phone.
  • I learnt quite a lot about the background of the police force as I did different things like rioting, petrol bombing and training police dogs.
  • I went to Parklands Nursery for the whole two weeks in September.
  • I am an occupational therapy assistant which involves helping the elderly with metal disabilities.
  • When I did my work experience at Mount Vernon Hospital I learnt how to make gums and teeth and an ear.
  • Well I acheved how to talk to the public perlitly.
  • I achieved to be punctuate every day.
  • I was good at bagging up and feeding animals.
  • I managed to hold and sell someone during my time at Styles of London for work experience.
  • The thing I was good at was holding up the horses’ legs for long periods of time.
  • For my work experience I worked in a sociable community. I worked in a trainer shop.I work as a sales assistant and helped the customers try their shoes out.
  • My strength is in spelling. This has helped me by talking to other people without having to stop and sturtering.
  • For my work experience I went to a nercary down in Booth Lane.
  • When I had work experience I experienced work.
  • On work experience I learnt how to cook macaroni cheese and I achieved doing a week’s work even yet I did not want to go.

Residential Experience

  • Residential Experience at Oundle for two and a half days was a very different experience for me than for other people. I was only there for one afternoon which was spent settling in.
  • On the Residential I learnt that other people like to sleep at night, but that didn't bother me.
  • It was the first time I had ever been in a canoe and cooking for forty people was hard.
  • I acquired a few new skills like how to do artery (with a bow and arrow).
  • At The Ranch I took part in many activities such as a mountain walking in the snow.
  • I am quite good at organising people e.g. my parents and Mr Bradbury.
  • The hole experience was great.
  • On residential experience I went map hunting.
  • I picked up a new skill like abseiling down a board.
  • I found residential quite revealing as I came out of myself.

Trips and Excursions

  • I went as a group to Derngate.
  • I went to the Ideal Home Expedition.
  • I visited the multicultural experiment at the Guildhall.
  • I also went for a trip to town for my coursework, which was a trip, but it was for my coursework.
  • I went on a visit to Madame Twoshardes.
  • I went sailing round Holland with the Duke of Edinburgh.
  • I have also been on a residential expedition with the Duke of Edinburgh.
  • Out of school I am involved with the Duke of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities, Awards and Achievements (or otherwise!!!)

  • We won £50 for the best video about disabled ramps.
  • I won the most helpful pupil last year.
  • Awards Received: I won the all round pupil in form and a flash for service.
  • The best achievement I have done in school is being able to run round the track four times in P.E.
  • I think the biggest achievement I have fulfilled at Trinity is that I dress in proper school uniform.
  • In my middle school I looked after the weather.
  • I have won a certificate of merts for being at school.
  • I received a book token at prizewinners' evening for being an outstanding contribution to the year.
  • I got a stiffcote for swimming games.

  • I have been captain of my basketball in middle school.
  • I have won accommodations in all other subjects.
  • I have a family of four and I am fifteen years old.
  • My best achievement in school, which I haven't done yet, is to pass my exams.
  • I was in the fund-raising event which was for the Bangladeshi floods in my present school.
  • I helped to run the old people's party at Christmas. I am interested in animals.
  • I have received a sertificut for entering a comption.
  • I am now a form representative. This enables me to give problems to the rest of the year.
  • I have won a prizewinner for being the most helpful person in the 9th Year.
  • My responsibility as a duty form monitor means I keep everyone out of school.
  • I have won two dance competitions in which I came 2nd and 3rd.
  • I try to go to school every day but when the winter bug comes round I have to have time off.
  • I took part of a youth club for two years.
  • I went up in a sepelly to get a maths award. (assembly)
  • I achieved a new skill because I had a conversation with a French bloke in the town.
  • I also went to Australia, which was really good, and this helps me in French because I have been there to listen and understand their language.
  • My best achievement has been completing my bronze award and moving on to my sliver.
  • My GCSE has been English, Geography and Mathematics. I have been very pleased with them. I seem to contract more when I am on my own.
  • This has been achieved through the wide choice of extra-circular activities.
  • In school I did sports day and came forth.
  • In 1995 I was awarded the most improved pupil of the year.

Observation

  • A person's respect is important because it shows you how that person gets on with their work.
  • Trinity is not my local.
  • I used to believe that all I could do was nothing.
  • I like to keep myself presentable but this can let me down at times as I have a bad memory.
  • I am fairly patient and can make a good cuppa.
  • I enjoy German because if I can speak a different language when I am abroad it will be helpful.
  • I think that I am a tidy person and if anyone thinks differently that's their problem.
  • I have never felt that I have had unnecessary time off unless it has been necessary
  • I respect other people's feelings even though I don't believe in them myself.
  • I have gained confidence out of me giving advice and advice being given to me and vice-versa.
  • However to start with I was a bit blind in that I didn't listen enough.
  • I am pleased to say that I haven't been missing from school for about 6 months now.
  • I was grown up around an office.
  • My brother is a chelsea.
  • To me getting on with people is important because you are not hiding in a shell.
  • It is also polite to be polite when you are talking to people.
  • It is important to understand people to get on with them. For example, if the person you are talking to doesn't like swearing, and you swear in every sentence, the person you are talking to will not be impressed.
  • You need to respect other people's feelings because if you insulted your boss you'd be fired straight away.

  • If I didn't have enough charisma in me I wouldn't be where I am today.
  • I'm not a perfect typewriter.
  • I am part of a youth club.
  • Before I started talking Spanish I didn't know anything at all, but now I know quite a bit of Spanish.
  • In English I have learnt how to put in full stops.
  • My second achievement is repairing the bodywork on my brother's car like sanding the rust holes down, filling them in and then spraying it, and learning to drive at the same time.
  • Good manners are essential at job interviews, politeness must come into your conversation and so does harmony. Harmony: in other words you have to agree on some things. It is also important not to go to an interview and tackle and argue with the person who is interviewing.
  • I'm mostly enjoyed at school and out of school.
  • The most important part of my education is that I come to school.
  • I supervised the animals at break time.
  • I think you can produce much higher standards from a group than an individual as the work becomes more respectable.
  • I think manners is important so you don't seem ignorant and common.
  • The most important aspect of Trinity is that the teachers are always willing to teach you things.
  • I enjoy being with my friends at school as this helps me to listen.
  • I wear my uniform nearly every day but I don’t wear my tries.
  • I am aged 15 years and 12 months.
  • I am two stamps short of an award.
  • I have black hair which is turning brown with brown eyes.
  • Playing the guitar helps in guitar lessons.
  • It is important to learn to respect and get attitude rights.
  • Respecting your oldest is important.
  • I have been bread and born in Northampton.
  • I am not oftenly off school but due to current events I have been off quite commonly.
  • I can type fast and rarly make mistakes.

Musical Talent

  • I like playing the clarinet in and out of school.
  • I started playing a clarinet but I couldn't get into it.
  • I play the guitar and sing in it.
     

Sports

  • I like swimming often. Swimming is great fun and fittering.
  • I like swimming in and out of school.
  • When World Cup football is on I never ever miss a match so you could call me infusiastic.
  • I only play squash when I go to Cornwall, but I still like playing it at home.
  • I have been out to other schools to play sports on the mini bus.
  • I was in sports day doing 400m long jump.
  • So far I also have four boxing trophies for losing.
  • We were complimented on how good we were but unfortunately we came joint last.

Hobbies and Pastimes

  • I dance out of school.
  • I only go horse riding in the summer but about five times in the winter.
  • I am interested in cars and motorbikes because it helps me to understand my own engine.
  • I go dancing through the week.
  • I like watching TV mysteries and trying to solve the crime. This helps me at school because it makes me more observant.
  • My hobbies are listening to music, taking photographs, watching Indians flim and dancing.
  • Outside of school I'm particularly interested in fishing and playing squash.
  • This has not helped me whatsoever in school.
  • I was joined to a knitting club.
  • The thing I am interested in both in and out of school is drama but I have found nothing about Drama out of school yet as I haven't had the time.
  • I have attended nitting clubs.
  • Technology is another one of my intersetes.
  • I am a member of a pen pal club which is writing a letter for a different country.
  • My hobby is baby siting.
  • I cook in my leisure out of school.
  • I enjoy hanging with my friends.
  • We do dancing like Snow White and Cinderella and we also do normal dancing.

Jobs

  • I keep a shop run on salads.
  • On Saturdays I work on the Co-op till severing customers.
  • I like doing my paper round as you meet a better class of people early in the morning.
  • I have a Saturday job which is very responsible because I have to handle food which other people are eating.
  • I am learning how to cook food on the menu.

Hopes for the Future

  • I hope to pursue a career in public transport as I have a great interest in travelling.
  • My parents want me to learn how to count and add up money and service the customers.
  • I would eventually like to own my own veterinary surgeon.
  • I now think I would definitely like to travel whether it be in the Royal Air Force, as this is one of my ambitions, or in a travel agents.
  • If I decided to work in another country I would be okay as in German I am doing well.
  • My targets for Year 11 are to keep up my standard in form and to go up to College for 3 years for a nursery nurse.
  • I want an experience before I get a job.
  • I consider the biggest aspect of my education to be preparing to go out there and find a carrer (job).
  • I would like to go on a 3 year course to be a plastic sugeron and make teeth.
  • When I leave school I would like to be a comic book script.
  • The type of career I am looking for is shorting as a shop assistant.
  • I am positively interested in being a primary school teacher or some king of social care.
  • I am interested in a career in the beautitional industry.
  • When I am old anouth I want to be a police officer.
  • Due to this I wish to go on into the Sixth Form to study four subjects in more depth. As I said due to this I wish to go on into the Sixth Form to study four subjects in more depth.
  • I am considering to become a barrister because I have to get the blame for something I didn’t do.
  • I am interested in games, dj’ing and astronomy. None of this we learn in school which I wont to do when I leave and they say that you have to learn to get a job.
