The "Twenty Year" Reunion

In 1963 a group of
girls got together after attending a Beatles concert and formally pledged to
meet again. They signed a document on the 22nd October 1963 that they
would meet again on 6th November 1983 under the Portico of All Saints Church at
7pm, bringing with them any children or other acquisitions of the past twenty
years. Seven girls signed this "Declaration of Friendship" but
in practice 8 girls got together for the reunion in 1983. The original 7

At the reunion they carried out their pledge and brought along 7 husbands,
one fiancée, and a total of 14 children. At the time they came from
Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Cheshire and Malaya, as well as Northampton.
They met at the Playhouse.

Since then, they have met almost every year, and this year held their 40-year
reunion at Whittlebury Hall in July. Below is the photo.
