The Class of 76 Reunion
20th June 2003

Yes... after almost exactly 27 years the reaction of most that met back in
June for the Class of '76 reunion, was that, all things being equal, it wasn't
so bad. So bad..? The memories of school - Chair-leg Harris, imminent dunking in
the Ebola-ridden pond, double maths on Monday afternoon..? Or getting back
together after so long.
Both I believe. We really hadn't done too badly. A lot of those who braved
their years and peers could have walked right out of that double maths period 27
years ago - so little had they changed.
With about 70 people in attendance, and an evening that stretched to (no
longer surreptitious) drinks at the Conservative Club (nee Dom Polski) and
beyond (so I hear) the overall opinion was that it really was worth doing.
I would personally like to thank all of you who came (or offered their
apologies), especially those from overseas. I had a great time and I hope you
all did too. For more information and to keep in touch, please use the message
board on the Alumni website [go]
and let us know if 2008 seems like it might be worth a stab -
A Golden Jubilee for most of us (aaaarrgghhh!!)

Undying and heartfelt thanks also of course to Janice Stevenson (nee Baker),
Sue Walder and Duncan Billingham, without whom... etc etc. You know how hard you
worked.
