More Pictures from the Glass Plates

We now know that the photos show the wedding of Esme and Edward Stone in August 1951.  Today, Esme is elderly, and a recent illness has left her a little immobile, but she was pleased to get the original glass plates back, even though she had a photo album of the prints.

It is still not clear how they came to be in the school workshops, although there is a major clue.  The photographer for their wedding was Ralph Meakins, who took many of the school photographs, but whose sons, Stephen and Vaughan were both connected to the school.  Perhaps Stephen took them in for some reason, but we will probably never know.
