If you can see roughly where you are on this small version, then when you have identified which section you are on, click on the appropriate part of the photo to go to a larger version. If you are having difficulty identifying a face, then you can use a larger image, which is better for printing. On the bottom of each section there is now a link to a larger version of the section photo. You can view this on the screen, or right click on the photo and select Save As, to save a copy and use your normal image software to print a copy. Click on the Back button on your browser when ready to return to the normal section page.

If you do not know where you are on the photo, then you will need to look at each section in turn. Start with section 1.

The Mystery of the Photograph

A number of people in the "bulge year" have told me that they have never had their picture taken while at school, and yet people in other years had it taken more than once. The norm was that a full picture was taken every five years, but they seemed to have slipped somewhere. Was it because in the bulge year there were 6 classes instead of the normal 4, and they did not have enough benches for everyone to stand on? This picture was taken in September 1963, when those who were not staying on into the sixth form had already left. The previous picture had been taken in July 1958. The last wide school picture was taken in either 1968 or 1973. After that individual classes had their photo taken.
