The School Photograph of 1958

Mike Kingston has given me the School Photo taken on 23rd July 1958.  If you were at the school in July 1958, then you can look for yourself, however, if like those of us in the bulge year, who arrived in September 1958, then you can look and see how fresh and young the teachers looked before we got there.

An index of names on this photograph is available with a grid system.  If you can see yourself or others that you know on the photo, then please find their grid reference and send it to me.  When you get to any section of the photo, click on the picture itself to bring up the indexing grid. There is a link at the bottom of this page to the Alphabetical Index of names.  Currently, 338 pupils have been identified.  For teachers there is a separate index which covers all of the five photographs in this section.  Click on the link above to go to the teacher index.    

If you are having difficulty identifying a face, then you can now use a larger image, which is better for printing.  On the bottom of each section there is now a link to a larger version of the section photo.  You can view this on the screen, or right click on the photo and select Save As, to save a copy and use your normal image software to print a copy.  Click on the Back button on your browser when ready to return to the normal section page.
