John Baker went to Trinity in the sixth form from 1963 - 65 and was in the Science Group.  He moved to Trinity from Duston School.

He lived at 20 Saxon Rise, Duston, Northampton and moved to Australia in February 1970.  He had a 4 week journey via the Canary Islands (Las Palmas), Cape Town, Fremantle and then Melbourne.  He found some digs via Bruce Barclay of Aston Civil Engineering, and later moved to Geelong about 50 miles south east of Melbourne and worked as an IE with Alcoa the aluminium giant.  He later left Geelong and moved to the bush to join the Shepparton Preserving Company as a production manager.

Whilst he was in Shepparton he formed a relationship and had a daughter Lisa who was born in 1980.  In 1987 he met Isobel and stayed with her until he died on the 20th June 2008. His brother lives in Eldorado an old gold mining town (info from letter 13 Nov 2004.

His parents left Duston and moved back to Lancashire in 1973.
