Recollections:
Mr Baker writes:
Among many happy memories of my time at Trinity (there are some
sad ones too) was when Donald Swann (of Flanders & Swann fame)
was guest of honour at a School concert. I played the
piano and Stephen Meakins conducted "Requiem for the Living"
written by him. He greatly appreciated our performance and
really was a most pleasant chap. I told him that one of my
daughters, having heard me speak of him, mistakenly remembered
his name "Donald Duck". I told him of this and he said "Oh
it's not the first time".
